Zilveren Kruis
Zilveren Kruis (Silver Cross) is a Dutch health insurance company, based in Leiden, which was founded in 1949. It is part of the Achmea group which was created in 1995 when it merged with the Avéro-Centraal Beheer Group. The Ziekenhuis Sint Jansdal, in Harderwijk, warned patients with the company's Basic Budget policy at the end of 2016 that their care was not covered after the bankruptcy of the MC IJsselmeer hospital in Lelystad. In December 2018 Bruno Bruins announced that it had been agreed that they would be covered. It was warned by the Dutch Healthcare Authority in November 2018 about changes to policies introduced retrospectively in January 2018. In December 2018 more than a hundred general practitioners refused to renew their contracts with the company because of a dispute over rates and conditions. Leiden
Leiden (; in English and archaic Dutch also Leyden) is a city and municipality in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Achmea Holding N.V. is one of the largest suppliers of financial services (mainly insurance) in the Netherlands. The company was formed by a merger of Zilveren Kruis and Avéro Centraal Beheer Groep on January 1, 1995. The roots of Achmea date back to 1811 when the Frisian accountant, , founded the "Onderlinge Brand Assurantie Sociëteit (Achlum)" in Achlum, Frisia, the Netherlands. Harderwijk
Harderwijk (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city of the Netherlands. It is served by the Harderwijk railway station. Its population centres are Harderwijk and Hierden. Harderwijk is on the western boundary of the Veluwe. The southeastern half of the municipality is largely forests. History Harderwijk received city rights from Count Otto II of Guelders in 1231. A defensive wall surrounding the city was completed by the end of that century. The oldest part of the city is near where the streets Hoogstraat and Grote Poortstraat now are. Lelystad
Lelystad () is a municipality and a city in the centre of the Netherlands, and it is the capital of the province of Flevoland. The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk, making the reclamation possible. Lelystad is approximately below sea level. Bruno Johannes Bruins (born 10 July 1963) is a Dutch politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) who served as Minister for Medical Care in the Third Rutte cabinet from 26 October 2017 to 19 March 2020, when he resigned. He previously served as State Secretary for Education, Culture and Science from 29 June 2006 until 22 February 2007 in the Second and Third Balkenende cabinets. Bruins also served as Acting Mayor of Leidschendam-Voorburg from 22 February 2007 until 1 November 2007. The Dutch Healthcare Authority (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit) is an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, established by the Healthcare Market Regulation Act 2006.
