Zigmars Liepiņš
Zigmars Liepiņš (born 14 October 1952 in Liepāja, Latvian SSR, USSR (now: Latvia) is a Latvian composer, keyboard player and the chairman of the board for the Latvian National Opera. Liepiņš has written songs for choirs, solo artists, orchestras, films, theatres, and operas. Early life and education Zigmars Liepiņš was born in a family of musicians in Liepāja on 14 October 1952. His father Jānis Liepiņš was a violinist and the first person in Liepāja to learn how to play an electric guitar, he also had an important role in the foundation of Liepāja rock. His mother Lidija had a diploma is singing. The first opera Liepiņs saw was Pyotr Tchaikovsky's '' The Queen of Spades'' in Liepāja Theatre in early childhood. Liepāja
Liepāja (; liv, Līepõ; see #Names and toponymy, other names) is a state city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea. It is the largest-city in the Kurzeme Planning Region, Kurzeme Region and the third-largest city in the country after Riga and Daugavpils. It is an important ice-free port. The population in 2020 was 68,535 people. In the 19th and early 20th century, it was a favourite place for sea-bathers and travellers, with the town boasting a fine park, many pretty gardens and a theatre. Order Of The Three Stars
Order of the Three Stars ( lv, Triju Zvaigžņu ordenis) is the highest civilian order awarded for meritorious service to Latvia. It was established in 1924 in remembrance of the founding of Latvia. Its motto is "Per aspera ad astra", meaning "Through hardships to the stars". The Order has five ranks and three grades of medals of honour. Concerto

Lāčplēsis (rock Opera)
The rock opera ''Lāčplēsis'' is a Latvian musical theatre, musical based on the Latvian national epic ''Lāčplēsis''. The libretto was written in 1986/87 by Māra Zālīte, with music composed by Zigmārs Liepiņš. It premiered in Riga on 23 August 1988. According to Māra Zālīte's homepage there were 43 shows, each attended by 4,000 people. Political and cultural significance Lāčplēsis was first shown at the beginning of the Third Latvian National Awakening. It has clear anti-Soviet Union, Soviet undertones and it inspired the rising independence movements in Latvia. Summary Unlike in the original poem, Kangars and Lāčplēsis are the best of friends. They are both heroes, they both have weaknesses, but Kangars' is easily noticeable: he is very ambitious. Jānis Liepiņš (conductor)
Jānis Liepiņš (born August 7, 1988 in Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian conductor. Since 2014 he has been the conductor at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet (LNO). For the LNO, he has conducted productions of ''Il trovatore'' (2014), ''Le Villi'' and ''Gianni Schicchi'' (2015), ''Eugene Onegin'' (2016), ''Romeo and Juliet'' (2014), '' Scheherazade And Her Tales'' (2016), and ''La Bayadère'' (2012), and was both the conductor and musical director for the ballet ''Raymonda'' (2015) and operetta ''Die Fledermaus'' (2015).
