Zhou Jiangyong
Zhou Jiangyong (; born September 1967) is a former Chinese politician and member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in August 2021. Previously he served as CCP secretary of Hangzhou. He is the first ministerial-level official caught in Zhejiang since the 19th CCP National Congress in 2017. Biography Zhou was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang, in September 1967. After graduating from Yuyao Normal School in 1985, he became a teacher at Jiangshan School. He began his political career in December 1988, when he was appointed a member of the standing committee of the Yin County Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. In January 2001, he became vice magistrate of Yin County. In September 2002, he was named magistrate of Xiangshan County, concurrently holding the deputy party secretary position. Central Leading Group For Inspection Work
The Central Leading Group for Inspection Work () is a coordination body set up under the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party for the purpose of managing party disciplinary inspections nationwide. Inspection work began in the early 1990s and was a collaboration between the Organization Department and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the party's anti-graft body. The decision to formally establish the leading group was announced in November 2009 by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. The group gained special prominence since 2013 under the leadership of Wang Qishan as a result of the wide-reaching anti-corruption campaign following the 18th Party Congress. () is a county-level district under the jurisdiction of Ningbo city in Zhejiang Province of the People's Republic of China. Since the district has a drum tower (''gulou'') that was constructed during the Tang Dynasty, it is alternatively called "Haishu Lou". Yinzhou () is a district of the major city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. History In 220 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, established three counties called Yin (), Mao () and Gouzhang (). Later they were merged into Gouzhang county during the Sui dynasty. It was renamed Mao county during the Tang dynasty. It had assumed its current name of "Yin" in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. The city of Ningbo was administrated by Yin county until after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. At the same time, Yin county became a county of Ningbo city.
