Dzhena Valentinova Nedelcheva-Stoeva ( bg, Джена Валентинова Неделчева-Стоева; born Desislava Valentinova Nedelcheva, bg, Десислава Валентинова Неделчева; born 3 July 1985), better known simply as Dzhena ( bg, Джена) is a Bulgarian pop-folk and folk singer. Biography Desislava Valentinova Nedelcheva was born in Razgrad on 3 July 1985. She has elder sister Borislava. In 2006 she signed a one-year contract with Azis's company Leo Music. Initially, Nedelcheva began performing under moniker "Nova Desislava" (), but in 2007 finally began performing as Dzhena. At the beginning of 2007, her colleague Milko Kalaydzhiev encouraged her to sign a contract with the company Payner and the contract took place on 16 March 2007. In the same year she released first album ''Greshni misli'' (''Sinful Thoughts''). Razgrad ( bg, Разград ) is a city in Northeastern Bulgaria in the valley of the Beli Lom river that falls within the historical and geographical region of Ludogorie (Deliorman). It is an administrative center of Razgrad Province. Etymology The suffix "grad" means city in Bulgarian, while the origin and the meaning of the first part "raz" is obscure. During the Second Bulgarian Empire, around the present city there was a settlement, mentioned by the names of ''Hrasgrad'', ''Hrazgrad'' and ''Hrizgrad. These names come from the name of the Bulgar and Slavic god Hors. History Razgrad was built upon the ruins of the Ancient Roman town of Abritus on the banks of the Beli Lom river. Abritus was built on a Thracian settlement of the 4th-5th century BC of unknown name. Several bronze coins of the Thracian king Seuthes III (330-300 BC) and pottery were found, as well as artifacts from other rulers and a sacrificial altar of Hercules. Payner LTD ( bg, "Пaйнер" ООД) is an independent Bulgarian record label and production company. It was founded in 1990 by Bulgarian businessman Mitko Dimitrov. It is the biggest record label in the country with 80 artists currently signed in their roster. Originally Payner started with the production of audio and videotapes for the Bulgarian market and for exportations abroad. As of today, the company owns their own record studio, founded in 1995. 3 television channels - Planeta TV since 2001, Planeta Folk since 2007, and Planeta HD since 2010.
