Zhang Ju (musician)
Zhang Ju (Chinese: 张炬; pinyin: ''Zhāng Jǜ'') (May 17, 1970 – May 11, 1995), was a Chinese musician, best known as the founding bassist and backing vocalist for the seminal progressive metal band Tang Dynasty. Early life and career Zhang was born into a Tujia family in Hunan province. As a child, he showed an interest in athletics, winning second place in the national high jump competition. He received his first guitar as a birthday present during his first year of junior high school. In 1987, Zhang formed a band with vocalist Gao Qi and guitarist Cao Ping, switching to bass as they did not yet have a bass player. The band soon broke up due to ego clashes and musical differences. Zhang founded Tang Dynasty in February 1989 with Ding Wu and Kaiser Kuo, serving as the band's lead vocalist until mid-1991. Gao Qi (musician)
Gao Qi (高旗), the lead vocalist and songwriter of the Chinese rock band Overload, was born in a family with generations' classical music background in Beijing on February 26, 1968. His father is a tenor, and his mother is a pianist. After withdrawing from the university, Gao, as guitarist and songwriter, joined the Chinese rock band Breath, and performed on the first-ever rock festival in China, the Beijing Modern Music Concert, in February 1990. The band released their first album, ''Breath'', in Asia in 1991. Fascinated by heavy metal, Gao then quit Breath and set up his own band, Overload, with guitarist Han Hongbin, Li Yanliang, bassist Wang Xueke and drummer Zhao Muyang, who were said to be the finest rock musicians in China at that time. Western Qing Tombs
The Western Qing tombs (; ) are located some southwest of Beijing in Yi County, Hebei Province. They constitute a necropolis that incorporates four royal mausoleums where seventy-eight royal members are buried. These include four emperors of the Qing dynasty and their empresses, imperial concubines, princes and princesses, as well as other royal servants. History Construction of the Western Qing tombs was initiated by the Yongzheng Emperor who broke with tradition and refused to be buried in the Eastern Qing tombs.
