Zhang Jifu
Zhang Jifu (; born September 1964) is a Chinese politician, and the Communist Party Secretary of Datong. He entered the workforce in September 1989, and joined the Chinese Communist Party in March 1985. Before his career in Datong, Zhang served as the Party Secretary for the district of Pinggu in Beijing from 2013 to 2015. Biography Zhang was born and raised in Tianjin. He graduated from the College of Agronomy and Biotechnology of China Agricultural University. After university, he was assigned to the Beijing Foreign Trade Import and Export Corporation and over a period of 9 years worked his way up to the position of manager. In March 2003 he became the deputy director of the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, rising to director three years later. Datong
Datong is a prefecture-level city in northern Shanxi Province in the People's Republic of China. It is located in the Datong Basin at an elevation of and borders Inner Mongolia to the north and west and Hebei to the east. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 3,105,591 of whom 1,790,452 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made of the 2 out 4 urban districts of Pingcheng and Yungang as Yunzhou and Xinrong are not conurbated yet. History The area of present-day Datong was close to the state of Dai, which was conquered by the Zhao clan of Jin in 457 BC. The 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (commonly referred to as ''Shíjiǔ Dà''; ) was held at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, between 18 and 24 October 2017. 2,280 delegates represented the party's estimated 89 million members. Feng Lixiang (; born August 1957) is a Chinese politician from Shanxi who served as the Communist Party Secretary of Datong from 2008 to 2014. In 2014, he was investigated for corruption, expelled from the Communist Party, and indicted on bribery charges. Early life and education Feng was born and raised in Shanyin County, Shanxi. The Central Party School of the Chinese Communist Party (), commonly known as the Central Party School (), located in Beijing, is the higher education institution which trains Chinese Communist Party (CCP) cadres.
