Zhang Haoruo (; 1932 – 27 March 2004) was a politician and petroleum engineer of the People's Republic of China. He served as Governor of Sichuan province and Minister of Internal Trade. Chinese Revolution (1946−50)
The Chinese Civil War was fought between the Kuomintang-led government of the Republic of China and forces of the Chinese Communist Party, continuing intermittently since 1 August 1927 until 7 December 1949 with a Communist victory on mainland China. The war is generally divided into two phases with an interlude: from August 1927 to 1937, the KMT-CCP Alliance collapsed during the Northern Expedition, and the Nationalists controlled most of China. From 1937 to 1945, hostilities were mostly put on hold as the Second United Front fought the Japanese invasion of China with eventual help from the Allies of World War II, but even then co-operation between the KMT and CCP was minimal and armed clashes between them were common. Jiang Minkuan (; May 1930 – 6 June 2012) was a politician and engineer of the People's Republic of China. He served as Governor of Sichuan province, deputy director of the State Science and Technology Commission, and deputy head of the United Front Work Department. Biography Jiang Minkuan was a native of Wu County (now part of Suzhou), Jiangsu province. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in June 1961. Starting in 1950 he worked as an engineer in the non-ferrous metal industry in Northeast China. In 1952 he studied Russian in Fushun, Liaoning province, and later trained and worked at an aluminium factory in the Ural region of the Soviet Union. After returning to China, he worked as a manager at the state-owned No. 101 Factory starting in 1955. In 1966 he became the deputy chief engineer of the state-owned No. 122 Factory, later promoted to chief engineer and general manager of the factory.
