Zero Year
"Zero Year" was a yearlong comic book crossover event published by DC Comics that began in June 2013 and ended in July 2014, featuring the superhero Batman. The series is written by Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV with artwork by Greg Capullo, Danny Miki, and Rafael Albuquerque. The story is intended to redefine the origin of Batman in The New 52, being a fresh story unconnected to other interpretations such as '' Batman: Year One''. The story does, however, incorporate several elements from ''Batman: Year One'', such as Bruce Wayne's long absence from Gotham City and his first attempts at vigilantism. Initially conceptualized as a '' Batman'' storyline, it was announced that in November 2013, various titles would tie in directly to the "Zero Year" story line. Riddler
The Riddler (Edward Nigma, later Edward Nygma or Edward Nashton) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang, and debuted in ''Detective Comics'' #140 in October 1948. He has become one of the most enduring enemies of the superhero Batman and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up his List of Batman family enemies, rogues gallery. In his comic book appearances, the Riddler is depicted as a criminal mastermind in Gotham City. He has an obsessive compulsion to incorporate riddles, puzzles, and death traps in his schemes to prove his intellectual superiority over Batman and the police. A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Dave McCaig (born December 6, 1971, in Thunder Bay, Ontario) is a Canadian artist and colourist who also works in the animation industry. Rafael Albuquerque (artist)
Rafael Albuquerque (born April 12, 1981) is a Brazilians, Brazilian comic book creator primarily for his artwork on titles such as DC Comics' ''Jaime Reyes, Blue Beetle'' and as illustrator and co-creator of ''American Vampire''. Though primarily a penciler and inker of interior comic art, he has also done work as a cover artist, colorist and writer. Early life and influences Rafael Albuquerque was born in 1981 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Career Albuquerque begun his professional career working in advertising, doing work for local companies. He began his comic book career in 2002, after posting his portfolio on the Internet, doing work for the Egyptian publishing company AK Comics, which published books for the Middle East. Greg Capullo
Gregory Capullo (; born March 30, 1962) is an American comic book artist and penciller, best known for his work on ''Quasar'' (1991–1992), '' X-Force'' (1992–1993), ''Angela'' (1994), ''Spawn'' (1993–2000, 2003–2004) and ''Batman'' (2011–2016). Greg Capullo also published his own creator-owned comic, ''The Creech'', published through Image Comics. These were two three-issue miniseries. Jason Todd
Jason Peter Todd is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in '' Batman'' #357 in March 1983, Todd was created to succeed Dick Grayson as Robin, the superhero Batman's vigilante partner and sidekick. Initially sharing a similar origin to Grayson, his character was rewritten after the Crisis on Infinite Earths event.
