Jason Todd
Jason Peter Todd is a character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in ''Batman (comic book), Batman'' #357 in March 1983, he was created to succeed Dick Grayson as Robin (character), Robin, Batman's partner and sidekick. He initially shared a similar origin to Grayson, being the son of circus acrobats who are killed by criminals in Gotham (Dick's were killed by a local mob boss who sabotaged their trapeze while Jason's parents were killed by Killer Croc) and adopted by Bruce Wayne, Batman's alter ego, as his son and protege. Following the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' event and the rebooting of DC's main comics universe, Jason's origin was changed to being a pre-teen street urchin and petty thief who Bruce adopted and mentored after finding the boy attempting to steal the tires off of the Batmobile. Ra's al Ghul Nyssa Raatko Rag Doll Rag Doll is the name of several supervillains appearing in American comic book, American comic books published by DC Comics. The first, Peter Merkel, is a villain of the Flash (Jay Garrick), original Flash, while the second is an enemy of Starman (Jack Knight), Starman and the Rag Doll (Peter Merkel Jr.), third is Merkel's son and a member of the Secret Six (comics), Secret Six. The Peter Merkel incarnation of Rag Doll was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Lou Ferstadt, and first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #36 (December 1942). Peter Merkel Peter Merkel, a native of the Midwestern United States, is born with hyper-mobile joints, and becomes a contortionist and carnival performer. After the carnival closes, Merkel becomes a criminal and enemy of the Flash (Jay Garrick), Flash.
