Zeina Ibrahim
Zeina Ibrahim Sharaf ( ar, زينة ابراهيم•شرف, born 20 June 2003) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 African Games team and uneven bars champion and the 2021 African all-around champion. She is also the 2022 African team and balance beam champion. She represented Egypt at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games and the 2020 Olympic Games. Personal life Ibrahim was born in Alexandria in 2003. She speaks both Arabic and English. Junior gymnastics career 2016–17 Ibrahim made her international debut at the 2016 African Championships, where she helped Egypt place first in the team competition. She then competed at the Tournoi International in Combs-la-Ville, France where she placed 24th in the all-around. Gymnastics at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 16 October at the Parque Olímpico de la Juventud#Olympic Park, America Pavilion in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Qualification Summary Acrobatic Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 1 team of 2 athletes. As hosts, Argentina was given a team to compete, causing a reduction to the number of teams qualified from the Americas. The remaining 11 teams were to be decided at the 2018 Acrobatics World Championships. Host Argentina declined the quota while no nation from Oceania competed. Mohamed Afify ( ar, محمد عفيفي, born November 10, 2001) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 African champion. Additionally he represented Egypt at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. Personal life Afify was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 2001. Gymnastics career 2018 Afify competed at the 2018 Junior African Championships where he helped Egypt place first as a team; individually he placed first in the all-around and on four of the six apparatuses.
