Zdenka Kovačiček
Zdenka Kovačiček (16 January 1944) is a Croatian jazz and rock vocalist. She remains one of the most prominent musicians on the Croatian music scene. Early life Zdenka Kovačiček was born on 16 January 1944 in Zagreb. Her father was from Tuheljske Toplice and mother from Dubravica. She attended musical high school where she learned to play piano and accordion. At the age of 19, she enrolled in the foreign trade study on her parents wish, but she never graduated due to the lack of interest. She started a career as a child at the Zagreb Youth Theater where she sang and danced. In 1957, she co-founded duo ''Hani'' together with Nada Žitnik. They performed on TV and recorded a movie. William John Clifton Haley (; July 6, 1925 – February 9, 1981) was an American rock and roll musician. He is credited by many with first popularizing this form of music in the early 1950s with his group Bill Haley & His Comets and million-selling hits such as "Rock Around the Clock", "See You Later, Alligator", "Shake, Rattle and Roll", "Rocket 88", "Skinny Minnie", and "Razzle Dazzle". Vojislav "Vojkan" Borisavljević (5 May 1947 – 23 February 2021) was a Serbian composer and conductor. Kornelije "Bata" Kovač ( sr-Cyrl, Корнелије "Бата" Ковач, ; hu, Kovács Kornél; 1 January 1942 – 13 September 2022) was a Serbian composer. Early life Born in Niš during World War II in the Nazi-occupied Serbia to a Hungarian father and a Serbian mother, Kovač grew up in a prominent artistic family - his grandfather was a conductor, his father a music professor and a violinist, his mother a singer in the opera choir. Kovač received his early music education at the College of Music in Subotica, after which he attempted to enroll in the Belgrade Music Academy. He did not pass the entrance exam so he entered the Sarajevo Music Academy of University of Sarajevo where he graduated from the Theory And Piano Department. Miljenko Prohaska (17 September 1925 – 29 May 2014) was a Croatian composer, arrangement, music arranger and Conducting, orchestra conductor. He was mainly known for founding a number of prominent Croatian orchestras and for his longtime service as the conductor of the Radio Zagreb Dance Orchestra (the present-day Croatian Radiotelevision Big Band Orchestra). Biography Prohaska was born in Zagreb and he first began learning the violin at a children's music school in Zagreb.
