Zbigniew Małkowski
Zbigniew "Zibi" Małkowski (born 19 January 1978) is a Polish professional association football coach and a former player who played as a goalkeeper. He most recently worked as a goalkeeping coach with Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała. Club career Hibernian 'Zibi' first appeared for Hibernian as a trialist in a 5–0 win over St Patrick's Athletic in the 2005–06 pre-season tour of Ireland. He then made a second showing in the game 24 hours later against Shamrock Rovers. He impressed Tony Mowbray, and on returning to Edinburgh was signed on a two-year contract. After initially impressing during the first half of the 2005–06 league season, he started to make errors around the turn of the year. Małkowski was notable for making a series of errors in derby matches against Hibs' rivals, Hearts. The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League. The First Division remained the second tier of the Scottish league system, but was now the top tier of the Scottish Football League. Andrew McNeil
Andrew McNeil (born 19 January 1987 in Edinburgh) is a retired Scottish football goalkeeper who is currently the goalkeeping coach at Hong Kong Premier League club R&F (Hong Kong). McNeil was previously with Hibernian, for whom he played in the 2007 Scottish League Cup Final win. He has also played in Scottish league football for Montrose, Raith Rovers, Livingston, Airdrieonians and Alloa Athletic. McNeil represented Scotland at three youth international levels. Career Club A former student at Leith Academy, McNeil drew early inspiration towards goalkeeping from watching Jim Leighton play for his local side, Hibs. Edgaras Jankauskas (born 12 March 1975) is a Lithuanian football manager and former professional player. A powerful forward during his playing career, Jankauskas excelled in the physical side of the game. Other than in his native Lithuania, he played professionally in nine countries, and represented the Lithuania national team for almost 20 years. Paul Hartley
Paul Hartley (born 19 October 1976) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the manager of Scottish Championship side Cove Rangers. As a player, Hartley won trophies with both Hearts and Celtic, and earned 25 caps for the Scotland national team. He also played for Hamilton Academical, Millwall, Raith Rovers, Hibernian, Greenock Morton, St Johnstone, Bristol City and Aberdeen during his career. As a manager, he guided Alloa Athletic to successive promotions. He then moved to Dundee, who he helped win promotion to the Scottish top flight in 2014. Hartley was sacked by Dundee in March 2017. 2005–06 Scottish Cup
The 2005–06 Scottish Cup was the 121st season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition, also known for sponsorship reasons as the Tennent's Scottish Cup. The Cup was won by SPL club Heart of Midlothian who defeated Second Division side Gretna on penalties after a 1–1 draw in the final. Hearts became the first non-Old Firm club to win the Cup since they themselves won it in 1997–98. Gretna earned a place in the UEFA Cup with Hearts having already qualified for the Champions League via the SPL. A major shock occurred in the third round when First Division side Clyde defeated Cup holders Celtic 2–1. Rangers were knocked out of at the fourth round stage, losing 3–0 at home to Hibernian. Edinburgh Derby
The Edinburgh derby is an informal title given to any football match played between Scottish clubs Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) and Hibernian (Hibs), the two oldest professional clubs based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The two clubs have a fierce rivalry that dates back to the clubs being founded in the mid-1870s, which makes it one of the longest running rivalries in world football. The first match between the clubs was played on the Meadows on Christmas Day 1875. The matches are normally played at either Easter Road or Tynecastle.
