Zână
''Zână'' (plural ''zâne''; ''zînă'' and ''zîne'', ''d̦ână'' and ''d̦âne'' in old spellings) is the Romanian equivalent of the Greek Charites or the fairy godmother. They are the opposite of monsters like Muma Pădurii. These characters make positive appearances in fairy tales and reside mostly in the woods. They can also be considered the Romanian equivalent of fairies and of the Germanic elf. They vary in size and appearance, and can transform to blend into their surroundings for protection and cover. They can appear openly in the woods and coax travelers to follow them in order to help them find their way. Zana Allée ( ar, زانا علي, born 1 March 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Championnat National club Rouen. Born in Iraqi Kurdistan, he is a former France youth international. Career On 10 August 2013, Allée made his debut with Rennes's first team in a match against Reims. Rennes won the match 2–1 and Zana played 54 minutes. On 4 August 2015, Allée joined Ajaccio on a two-year contract. Allée made no first team appearances in the second year of his Ajaccio contract, and left to join Concarneau in the January 2017 transfer window. He left at the end of the season, joining his brothers at Stade Briochin in November 2017. In June 2022, Allée signed for Rouen. Zana (band)
Zana is a Serbian and Yugoslav rock and pop group formed in Belgrade in 1979. Formed by guitarist Radovan Jovićević, keyboardist Zoran Živanović and vocalist Zana Nimani, Zana was initially a part of the Yugoslav new wave scene. With their second album they turned towards more commercial synthpop sound and achieved large mainstream popularity. Until the mid-1980s the band had moved from their initial new wave and synthpop sound towards pop rock and pop. After the departure of Zana Nimani in 1984, Jovićević and Živanović continued to lead the band, changing two vocalists, Nataša Gajović and Nataša Živković. During the 1990s, Zana worked as a pop trio consisting of Jovićević, Živanović and vocalist Jelena Galonić. Zana Ramadani (born 1984) is a German politician, feminist activist, and author of Albanian descent. She was born in Skopje, but fled to West Germany as a child. She was chair of the Junge Union, the youth organization of the CDU (Conservative Party), in Wilnsdorf in Central Germany. She came to prominence when she founded the German branch of the feminist protest group FEMEN in 2012, and was involved in a number of topless protests against sexual exploitation. Zana Šiškin (; sr-cyr, Зана Шишкин, ; born in September 1961) is a Serbian former singer, best known as the first frontress of the pop rock band Zana. Biography Zana Nimani was born in 1961 in Belgrade, to Kosovo Albanian parents from the town of Đakovica. Nimani started her career in 1976, when she started to sing with the band Suton, in which her (at the time) boyfriend Radovan Jovićević played guitar. Since 1979, the band started to perform under the name Zana. The band's debut album, ''Loše vesti uz rege za pivsku flašu'' (''Bad News Accompanied by Reggae for a Beer Bottle''), released in 1981, brought them nationwide popularity. Zana Krasniqi (born September 17, 1988 in Pristina) is a Kosovar fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Kosovo 2008. She represented Kosovo for the first time in Miss Universe and placed in the Top 10 of the Miss Universe 2008. Zana Fraillon (born 1981) is an Australian writer of fiction for children and young adults based in Melbourne, Australia.
