Zamir Khan
Zamir Khan (born 16 March 1992) is an Afghan cricketer. Khan is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Khan was a member of Afghanistan's squad for the 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup in Nepal. It was during this tournament that he made his debut for Afghanistan against Oman. He made five further appearances during the tournament, including in the final against Hong Kong, which Afghanistan won. He was later selected as part of Afghanistan's squad for the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in Dubai. His debut in Twenty20 debut came during this tournament, against Denmark. He claimed his maiden wicket in that format during this match, that of Aftab Ahmed to finish with figures of 1/6 from three overs. He made a second appearance during the tournament, against Nepal, but went wicketless in the match. The 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament was an edition of the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, a cricket tournament in Afghanistan. It was the first edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. The tournament started on 20 October 2017 and finished on 23 December 2017. Five regional teams competed in a double round-robin tournament with the top two teams in the group progressing to the final. Speen Ghar Region finished first in the group stage and faced Band-e-Amir Region in the final. Band-e-Amir Region won the tournament, beating Speen Ghar Region by 537 runs in the final. Speenghar Tigers ( ps, سپين غر زمريان ''Spīn Ghar Zmaryān'') or Speenghar Region (alternative spelling: Spin Ghar) is one of eight regional first-class cricket teams in Afghanistan. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. The Afghan cricket team toured Zimbabwe between January and February 2017. The tour consisted of five One Day International (ODI) matches.
