	Boris Zala Boris Zala is a Slovak politician for the parliamentary party SMER-SD, a member of the Slovak parliament, and the current Chairman of the parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. He is also Assistant Professor at Constantine the Philosopher University (UKF) in Nitra, Columnist, Chair of the Political Science, and European Studies Department at UKF's Faculty of Philosophy. Education and Professional Career Zala graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1979. After graduation, he proceeded with his study of philosophy and received his PhD degree (1981) and CSc degree (1995) from the same university. 	György Zala (canoeist) György Zala (born January 19, 1969 in Budapest) is a Hungarian sprint canoeist who competed from 1989 to 2001. Competing in three Summer Olympics, he won two bronze medals in the C-1 1000 m event, earning them in 1992 and 1996. Zala, a hyperactive child, took up canoeing at the age of 11. A great natural athlete despite suffering from asthma, it seemed he was only truly motivated by the Olympics. Between Olympiads he tended to fall out of sight, focussing instead on his other passions such as extreme sports. It was not until later in his career that he won any world or European championship titles. He took to his new role as the "old man" of the Hungarian four-man crew with enthusiasm, helping his younger teammates to victory in the C-4 1000 m event at the 2000 European Championships in Poznań. Along with Alajos Strobl and János Fadrusz, he is one of Hungary's leading public sculptors of the late 19th and early 20th century. Biography Orphaned at the age of 8, Zala spent several years in schools in Városlőd and Pápa. He studied under Edmund Hellmer and Kaspar von Zumbusch at the Vienna Academy at the age of 21 and then under Josep Knábl, Max Wittman, Michael Wagmüller, and Eberle Siriusat at the Munich Academy. Along with Janos Fadrusz and Alajos Strobl, Zala studied at the Budapest Academy. 	Nick Zala Nick Zala (born 21 January 1959), is an English pedal steel and guitar player from Barnet, Hertfordshire, England. Early life Born Nicholas Michael Anthony Zala, he was exposed to music from a very young age. His grandparents were both skilled pianists - one a sight reader, and the other a jazz musician who played entirely by ear. He took up the cello at the age of seven but gave it up only two years later in favour of the more portable guitar. By the age of 15, he had received jazz guitar tuition from Ike Isaacs and some useful advice in a one-to-one with Joe Pass. 	Athrun Zala is a fictional character from the Japanese science fiction anime television series ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'' and its sequel ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny'', part of the Gundam franchise. In the former, Athrun Zala is introduced as a member from the military organization ZAFT, composed of genetically enhanced humans known as Coordinators. Participating in the war between Coordinators and regular humans, referred to as Naturals, Athrun discovered that his childhood friend Kira Yamato was a member of the Naturals' military organization, the Earth Alliance, despite being a Coordinator.
