Zackary Wright
Zachary "Zach" Wright (born February 5, 1985) is an American-born naturalized Bosnian professional basketball player who last played for Pro A team JL Bourg. He can play at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Professional career Wright's first team was SG Braunschweig of the German ProB. As a rookie pro, he led German Pro B in scoring (24.8) and steals (3.5). This stint was followed by three seasons in the LNB Pro A in France: with Élan Chalon, Le Mans Sarthe, and Limoges CSP. Wright played at the French All-Star Game during the 2008–09 and 2010–11 seasons, and was named the slam dunk champion in the 2010–11 season. In September 2011, he signed with Rethymno of the Greek League. He left them in March 2012, and signed with Cibona Zagreb of Croatia for the rest of the season. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The LNB Pro A Leaders Cup, or French Basketball League Cup, is the annual national league cup competition for teams from the top-tier level of French professional basketball, the LNB Pro A. It was created in its current form in 2003 (after originally being founded in 1988). It is organized by the Ligue Nationale de Basketball (LNB), which also organizes the top two leagues of French professional basketball (Pro A, and Pro B). Inspired by the Spanish Copa del Rey (Spanish Basketball King's Cup), the ''Final Eight'' format has always been used. At the end of the first half of the regular season, the top eight teams (or the top seven teams and the tournament's host team) from the first division French LNB Pro A League qualify. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The 2016–17 Basketball Champions League was the inaugural season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 27 September 2016, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded on 30 April 2017, at the Final Four. Jeunesse Laïque de Bourg-en-Bresse, commonly known as JL Bourg or simply Bourg, is a basketball club based in Bourg-en-Bresse, France that plays in the Pro A. Their home arena is Ekinox, which has a capacity of 3,548 people. History In 2014, JL Bourg adopted its new home arena Ekinox which replaced the Salle des Sports. This year the team also promoted to the Pro A after it won the Pro B Playoffs. They relegated back after the 2014–15 season.
