Zack Milkovich
Zack Milkovich is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving the Thirty-Fifth District from 2011 to 2014 and representing the City of Barberton and portions of Akron, Ohio. He is the current city councilman for Akron's 10th Ward, and also owns a private real estate investment group. Early life The Milkovich family is of Serbian ancestry. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1967. Career After attending the University of Akron, Milkovich worked in Akron's tire mold industry for twenty years before winning the Thirty-Fifth House District in the Ohio Legislature and is the current Ward Ten councilman in Akron. Ohio House Of Representatives
The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years). Time served by appointment to fill out another representative's uncompleted term does not count against the term limit. There are 99 members in the house, elected from single-member districts. John Otterman
John Otterman is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, who represented the 45th District from 2008 to 2010. An environmental consultant and a former member of Akron, Ohio City Council from 1992 to 2007, Otterman is the son of Robert J. Otterman, a prominent Akron politician. In 2008, the elder Otterman retired early from his seat in the Ohio House, prompting Democrats to appoint a successor. The younger Otterman applied to fill his father's seat, and was appointed. Up for reelection in 2008, Otterman defeated Republican Joe Fazek easily to win a full two-year term. Otterman gained national attention for specific projects that were facing Akron. Greta Johnson
Greta Johnson (born May 2, 1977) is an American attorney and politician. Johnson is the former representative of the 35th district of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving from January 2015 to March 2017. Johnson is a former assistant prosecutor for Summit County, who challenged incumbent representative Zack Milkovich in the 2014 Democratic primary. Johnson defeated Milkovich with 54% of the vote and won the general election with 61% of the vote. She held the seat until 2017, when she resigned to work for the Summit County Executive. Barberton, Ohio
Barberton is a city in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 26,550 at the 2010 census. Lying directly southwest of Akron, it is a suburb of the Akron metropolitan area. History Barberton was founded in 1891 by industrialist O.C. Barber, who planned the town according to his vision of industry, progress and community. In 1894 he moved the manufacturing operations of the Diamond Match Company, which he formed from a merger of 11 companies, from Akron to Barberton. He soon was producing 250 million matches a day.
