ZTV Norway
ZTV Norway was a Norwegian entertainment television channel. Its programming consisted of music videos, movies and sitcoms. The channel was launched in Norway for the first time in 1995. It was unsuccessful, however, and it closed down in 1996. In 2002, ZTV returned to Norway, replacing the Viasat Plus channel. The second time around it quickly established itself as popular with younger viewers, this time with a greater emphasis on music and especially Norwegian artists. On September 8, 2007 the channel had its last broadcast, and was replaced by Viasat 4. Viasat Plus
Viasat Plus was a television channel established to entertain audience between the ages of 15–80. The channel broadcast re-runs of sit-coms shown on TV3 earlier and soap operas. Viasat Plus was broadcast in Norway, and was replaced by ZTV in 2002. In Denmark there is a similar channel TV3+. Viasat 4
TV3+ (formerly V4 and Viasat 4) is a television channel broadcasting to Norway owned by the Viaplay Group. The channel was launched test on 28 September 2007, a week 14 June 2014 after the launch of the digital terrestrial television network in Norway, replacing ZTV which ceased broadcasting shortly before. The channel opened with the European Championship qualifying match between Moldova and Norway. Its main focus is on entertainment, sports and documentaries, transmitting series such as Most Shocking, Stargate Atlantis, The 4400, Star Trek, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Riches, UEFA Champions League matches and Futurama, with short news bulletins from P4 on weeknights. TV3 (Norway)
TV3 Norway is a commercial television channel targeting Norway owned by Viaplay Group. It was separated from the earlier Pan-Scandinavian version in 1990. Unlike its main rivals, NRK, TV 2 and TVNorge, the channel does not broadcast from Norway but from West Drayton, Middlesex in the United Kingdom, even if the channel is almost solely aimed at Norwegian viewers. This excludes the channel from the strict rules in Norway that apply to advertising (ban on advertisements aimed at children or interrupting programs). Also unlike the other main channels, it wasn't available on analogue terrestrial, having to rely on satellite and cable television for its distribution. Viasat Sport N ("N" as in "Norway") was the name of a former sports channel which broadcast to Norway. The channel launched on 29 November 2005, as a replacement for the then pan-Nordic Viasat Sport 1 channel in Norway.
