''Z'har '' is a 2009 film. Synopsis 1997: Alia is a Parisian photographer, travelling from Tunis to Constantine (Algiers) to see her sick father. Cherif is a writer and has just read, according to the newspapers, that he's dead. Their driver is a cab driver used to doing the Tunis-Constantine route. 2007: Fatma Zohra asks her brother to go with her on a location scout. The film is dear to her heart because it portrays the violence that swept Algiers during the nineties. The crew starts out on a two thousand kilometre journey that leads to a hypothetical fiction or the dream of one during which the main characters get to know one another. But the project can't find financing. How does one carry out a fiction when all is against you? Takfarinas
Hacène Zermani (born 1958 in Algiers, Algeria), known by the stage name Takfarinas, is an Algerian Kabyle Yal musician. Takfarinas took his surname from the ancient warrior of North Africa Tacfarinas who fought against the presence of the Romans in Algeria. Since 1979 Takfarinas has lived in France. However, his songs promote and celebrate the Kabyle culture into which he was born. Takfarinas is perhaps best known for his voice which covers a wide range and the 'takfa' which is based on a traditional lute like instrument which he has modified by adding a second neck. Each neck provides a distinct sound, one neck is feminine and the other masculine. Nowadays the takfa has been replaced by an electric half-drum mandole. Like the takfa this has two fingerboards. International Film Festival Of Kerala
The International Film Festival of Kerala (abbreviated as IFFK) is a film festival held annually in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. This film festival started in 1996 and is hosted by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. The festival is held in November or December every year and is acknowledged as one of the leading cultural events in India. Several national and international films have their premiers at the IFFK each year. Competition section is limited to 14 selected films produced in Asia, Africa or Latin America. The Pune International Film Festival (also known as PIFF) is an annual film festival held in Pune, a city in Maharashtra, India. Open to general public, the films are screened at NFAI, Inox, City Pride, PVR cinema halls, all located in Pune city. Dr Jabbar Patel is the chairman and director of the festival. The festival commences on the second Thursday and concludes on the third Thursday of January. First Edition of PIFF was started in year 2002and has been running annually except for 2004.
