Yuen Long (football)
Yuen Long Football Club (), previously known as Best Union Yuen Long () for sponsorship reasons, is a Hong Kong professional football club based in Yuen Long which currently competes in the Hong Kong First Division. The football teams of the club were originally organised by Yuen Long District Sports Association (). In 2013, Yuen Long Football Club was established as a private entity, separate from the district sports association. History Yuen Long District Sport Association was established by former chairmen of Hong Kong Football Association, Fu Lee Sha and Tsang Sam Chiu in 1959. The team entered the former Hong Kong Third Division in 1959–60 season. The team carried a three-year plan to get promotion to Hong Kong First Division. In 1961–62, the team became the first district team to compete in First Division. In 1962–63, the team gained their first top Division League title. Chan Ho Yin
Chan Ho Yin (; born 25 February 1978 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong football coach and a former professional football player. Career Chan was a member of Hong Kong U-21 in 1990, participating in Gothia Cup and Dana Cup. For his club career, he played for Kui Tan and Kitchee. Coaching career After his retirement from football, he started his managerial career as an assistant coach of Hong Kong U-21. Tai Po In the 2008–09 season, he was appointed as the head coach of Hong Kong First Division League club Wofoo Tai Po, leading the club climbing on the top of the table in October. He was also appointed as the head coach of Hong Kong League XI participating in 2009 Lunar New Year Cup. Tai Chung He joined another First Division club Tai Chung in July 2009. Hong Kong Sapling Cup
Hong Kong Football Association Sapling Cup (), more commonly known as Sapling Cup (), is a Hong Kong domestic football competition contested by all the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League. The objective of the Cup is to provide more playing opportunities for youth players in Hong Kong. The champions will receive HK$100,000 in prize money while the runners up will receive HK$40,000. The MVP of the final will receive a bonus of HK$10,000. The current Sapling Cup holders are Eastern. The 2015–16 Hong Kong FA Cup is the 41st season of Hong Kong FA Cup. It is a knockout competition, consisting of the preliminary round and the proper round. 42 teams from the Hong Kong First Division League, the Hong Kong Second Division League and the Hong Kong Third Division League competed in the preliminary round. 2017–18 Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield was the 116th season of the Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield, Hong Kong Senior Shield. 10 teams entered this edition, with two games being played in Round 1 before the Quarter Final stage. The competition was only open to teams that play in the 2017–18 Hong Kong Premier League. The champions, Yuen Long FC, Yuen Long, received HK$150,000 in prize money while the runners up, Eastern Sports Club, Eastern, received HK$50,000. The MVP of the final received a HK$10,000 bonus.
