2015–16 Hong Kong FA Cup
The 2015–16 Hong Kong FA Cup is the 41st season of Hong Kong FA Cup. It is a knockout competition, consisting of the preliminary round and the proper round. 42 teams from the Hong Kong First Division League, the Hong Kong Second Division League and the Hong Kong Third Division League competed in the preliminary round. The 9 teams from the Premier League and the top 3 teams from the preliminary round competed in the proper round. Hong Kong Pegasus won their 2nd title on 15 May 2016. Hong Kong Pegasus FC
Hong Kong Pegasus FC () are a Hong Kong football club based in Yuen Long. Founded in 2008, the club currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History TSW Pegasus was established in June 2008, and they had their first season in 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League with a budget of about HKD$10,000,000. On 21 December 2008, Pegasus won their first trophy, defeating Sun Hei in the 2008 Senior Shield Final. In July 2012, the club was renamed as Sun Pegasus following introduction of a new sponsor. After the 2014–15 season, Sun International Resources Limited withdrew their sponsorship. Their club was renamed Hong Kong Pegasus following a takeover by Canny Leung. In October 2020, the club was renamed back to TSW Pegasus and returned to Yuen Long Stadium. Wong Tai Sin District Recreation & Sports Council (, abbreviated as WTS DRSC, also known as Wong Tai Sin) is a football club which currently plays in the Hong Kong First Division League. It is operated by Wong Tai Sin District Council. History Founded in 1979, Wong Tai Sin joined the Third Division League in 1980s. In 1990, due to the expansion of Second Division League, the club was being promoted to the second-tier division. In their first Second Division season, the club placed second in the league table, meaning they had gained promotion to the First Division for the first time in club history. Michael Cheng Lai Hin (; born ) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who played as a striker. Cheng was arrested by the ICAC on match fixing charges in 2017 but was subsequently cleared. Club career Kitchee Cheng Lai Hin signed for Kitchee when he was only 18. Cheng Lai Hin was one of the torch bearers for Hong Kong for the 2008 Olympic torch relay in the SAR. A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead.
