Yliopistonkatu (Tampere)
Yliopistonkatu (literally "University Street") is a north–south street in the Tulli district of Tampere, Finland. The street is a southern extension of Tammelan puistokatu, which starts at Itsenäisyydenkatu and extends south to Kalevantie. It is 400 meters long. To the east of the street is the Sorsapuisto park area and the Tampere Hall, a concert and congress center completed in 1990. Originally, the street was only the southern part of Tammelan puistokatu, but in 1984 it was named Yliopistonkatu on the initiative of the University of Tampere The University of Tampere (UTA) ( fi, Tampereen yliopisto (Tay), ) was a public university in Tampere, Finland that was merged with Tampere University of Technology to create the new Tampere University on 1 January 2019. Turku

Tulli () is a district in the center of Tampere, Finland.Maija Louhivaara: ''Tampereen kadunnimet'', p. 86. Tampereen museoiden julkaisuja 51, 1999, Tampere. (in Finnish) It takes its name from the Customs House (''Tullikamari'') completed in 1901 and the associated Pakkahuone packing house. Due to the proximity of the railway yard, storage, office and production facilities were built in the area from the end of the 19th century. A town plan was established for the area in 1900. Tulli's area houses the premises of the University of Tampere, small industry, the Tullintori shopping center and, to an increasing extent, also settlements. The Customs House and Pakkahuone have restaurant and cultural activities. Itsenäisyydenkatu
Itsenäisyydenkatu (literally "Independence Street") is an east–west street in the center of Tampere, Finland. It is a significant street connection in the city center of Tampere in terms of transport connections, as it leads from Tampere's railway station to the Liisankallio district in the Tammela district. On the west side of the station, the street continues as the Hämeenkatu street, at its eastern end it meets Kalevan puistokatu, branching into Teiskontie and Sammonkatu. Today, the only crossroads on Itsenäisyydenkatu with cross-street vehicle traffic is Tammelan puistokatu– Yliopistonkatu. Itsenäisyydenkatu was known from the end of the 19th century until the 1950s as the Puolimatkankatu according to the croft named Puolimatka (literally "half way") located in the area. Sorsapuisto
Sorsapuisto (Finnish for "duck park") is a refreshment area of 4.2 hectares in Tulli, Tampere, Finland, completed in the 1930s. In 1990 the Tampere Hall was built in the south corner of the park and the whole park was renovated. From 1964 to 1972 the site of the Tampere Hall hosted the Tampere zoo featuring the lions Tam and Pere. University Of Tampere
The University of Tampere (UTA) ( fi, Tampereen yliopisto (Tay), ) was a public university in Tampere, Finland that was merged with Tampere University of Technology to create the new Tampere University on 1 January 2019. The university offered undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes with 20,178 degree students and 1,981 employees as of 2016. Founded in 1925 in Helsinki as the Civic College () and from 1930 onwards known as the School of Social Sciences (), the institution relocated to Tampere in 1960 and was renamed as the University of Tampere in 1966.
