Yevhen Halych ( uk, Євген Андрійович Галич, Yevhen Andriyovitch Halych; born 29 April 1984) is a Ukrainian rock musician, TV host, DJ and the frontman of Ukrainian rock band O.Torvald. Biography Yevhen Halych was born in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast on 29 April 1984, but the first eight years of his life he spent in Kazakhstan, where his father served in the Soviet Army. In 1992 his family, including his brother Andriy, moved to Poltava, where he has lived long since. Yevhen started attending musical classes when he was five years old. In 1994 he met Denys Miziuk, who was his neighbour and who would later become the guitarist of O.Torvald and the best friend of Yevhen Halych. From 1999 to 2005 they played together in the band "Kruty! Pedali", then they started the band O.Torvald. Skryabin ( uk, Скрябін, also transliterated as ''Scriabin'' or ''Skriabin'') is a Ukrainian rock, pop band formed in 1989 in Novoyavorivsk, Ukraine. Prominent Ukrainian musician Andriy "Kuzma" Kuzmenko ( uk, Андрій Кузьменко) was the band's lead singer until his death in 2015. During its existence, Skryabin has gone from synthpop to rock and pop music. As it progressed, the band's style has been divided into "classic Skryabin" and "new Skryabin". Andriy Viktorovych "Kuzma" Kuzmenko (; 17 August 1968 – 2 February 2015) was a Ukrainian singer, poet, writer, TV presenter, producer and actor, Hero of Ukraine (2020). He was best known as the lead singer of the Ukrainian rock band Skryabin, founded in 1989. He died in a traffic collision on 2 February 2015 in Lozuvatka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, aged 46. Biography Andriy Kuzmenko was born on 17 August 1968, in Sambir, Lviv region. His family moved to the city of Novoyavorivsk, where he would start his career. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a garbage truck driver. His mother was a music teacher, while his father was an engineer. Kuzmenko, an only child, graduated from music school and from the Faculty of Dentistry. He was not interested in dentistry, but finished his studies at the request of the parents. BoomBox (Ukrainian Band)
BoomBox (also: Бумбокс, Bumboks) is a Ukrainian rock and pop band formed in 2004 by singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk and guitarist . Their songs are predominantly in Ukrainian, with their albums and singles including some songs in Russian and English. They recorded their first album ''Меломанія'' (''Melomania'') in just 19 hours and released it in April 2005. The band has performed in cities throughout Ukraine, including Lviv, Odesa, Kovel, Uzhhorod and, as recently as the beginning of 2022, in Kyiv. They have performed in other European countries, the United States, and Canada. In 2015 they conducted a ten-year-anniversary tour in North America. BoomBox was scheduled to perform in London at a show in support of the Belarus Free Theatre in 2015.
