''Yeo-Neun'' () is the eighth studio album by South Korean artist Okkyung Lee. It was released on May 8, 2020, by Shelter Press. Critical reception ''Yeo-Neun'' was met with widespread acclaim reviews from critics. Tom Piekarski of ''Exclaim!'' reviewed it is "bound to stand as one of this year's best neoclassical releases." Maeve Gilchrist
Maeve Gilchrist is a Scottish harpist and composer currently living in New York City. She is known for combining traditional folk music, jazz, improvisation, and experimentation. Early life and education Gilchrist grew up in Edinburgh, where she was immersed in folk music due to her Scottish father and Irish mother, who were both musicians and frequently hosted music sessions in their home. Two of her mother's sisters are also professional harpists in Ireland. Around the age of ten, Gilchrist began studying classical piano at the City of Edinburgh Music School. Her studies broadened to include jazz and the harp. At age 17, she moved to the United States to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she received a full scholarship. Okkyung Lee (born 1975 in Daejeon, South Korea) is a South Korean cellist, improviser, and composer. Lee moved to Boston in 1993, where she received a dual bachelor's degree in Contemporary Writing and Production and Film Scoring (Berklee College of Music), and a master's degree in Contemporary Improvisation (New England Conservatory of Music). In 2000, Lee moved to New York and immersed herself in the city's downtown music scene. Since then, she has collaborated with a wide range of musicians and artists, including Laurie Anderson, Arca, David Behrman, Mark Fell, Douglas Gordon, Jenny Hval, Vijay Iyer, Christian Marclay, Lasse Marhaug, Haroon Mirza, Thurston Moore, Ikue Mori, Stephen O'Malley, Lawrence D "Butch" Morris, Jim O’Rourke, Evan Parker, Marina Rosenfeld, Wadada Leo Smith, Swans, Cecil Taylor, C. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. Eivind Opsvik
Eivind Opsvik (born 1973 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (upright bass) and composer, the son of the Norwegian interior and furniture designer Peter Opsvik. Career Opsvik is a graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Music (1993–97), and he made himself evident on the Oslo jazz scene from the early 1990s, before moving to New York in 1998, where has been living since. He is thoroughly involved in composing, recording, mixing and producing music, as he manages a studio in his basement, from where he is running the record label Loyal Label. His main projects are 'Overseas' and 'Opsvik & Jennings', besides his solo project. 'Overseas' is the name of his band that was formed in 2002 and includes Jacob Sacks (piano, harpsichord and organ), Tony Malaby (saxophone), Kenny Wollesen (drums) and the most recent addition, Brandon Seabrook (guitar).
