"Yassou Maria" ( el, Γειά σου Μαρία) is a song recorded by Greek-British singer Sarbel, written by Alex Papakonstantinou, Marcus Englöf and Markus "Mack" Sepehrmanesh. It is best known as the entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, held in Helsinki. It was released as a CD single on March 7, 2007 by Sony BMG Greece, going gold in Greece on June 7, 2007. Anna Vissi ( el, Άννα Βίσση, , ; born 20 December 1957), is a Greek Cypriot singer and songwriter. She studied music at conservatories and performed locally before moving to the professional scene in Athens, in 1973, where she signed with Minos and simultaneously collaborated with other musical artists and released promotional singles of her own while studying at the University of Athens. "No Madonna" is a song by Greek singer Christos Dantis. The song was Dantis's entry in a three way race to be Greece's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. He battled both Tamta and Sarbel for the spot, and on February 28, 2007, Greece chose Sarbel's "Yassou Maria". The song came in second place. The song was composed by Dantis himself and lyrics were by Natalia Germanou. Together in 2005, they also composed the winning Eurovision song My Number One for Elena Paparizou. The song is an upbeat rock influenced song with an ethnic Greek twist. Oikotimes Christos Dantis was accompanied by 5 female dancers with blond wigs made to resemble American singer Madonna.
