Tamta Goduadze ( ka, თამთა გოდუაძე; el, Τάμτα Γκοντουάτζε, Támta Gkontouátze; born 10 January 1981), known mononymously as Tamta, is a Georgian-Greek singer. She first achieved popularity in Greece in 2004 for her participation in '' Super Idol Greece'', in which she placed second. She went on to release several charting albums and singles in Greece and Cyprus, also becoming a mentor on ''X Factor Georgia'' in 2014, and '' The X Factor Greece'' in 2016. She represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song " Replay", finishing in 13th place with 109 points. ''Agapise me'' (') is the second studio album by Greek pop singer and Super Idol contestant Tamta. It was released on 16 May 2007 by Minos EMI. The album was repackaged in early 2008 with Tamta's CD single ''Mia stigmi esi ki ego/Ela sto rhythmo''. "Prin ksana erotefto" is a Greek version of the song "A Rose in the Wind" by Anggun. "I zoi einai oraia" was the Greek entry for the 2007 Mediterranean Song Contest. Singles Five singles were released from the album: "With Love", "Agapise me", "Agapo (Wanna Play)", "Mia stigmi esi ki ego", and "Ela sto rhythmo". ''The X Factor'' is the Greek version of ''The X Factor'', a show originating in the United Kingdom. It is a television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. Auditions are held in Greece in the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as in Cyprus in the city of Nicosia. Auditions for the third X Factor were also held in New York City. Greece In The Eurovision Song Contest 2007
Greece participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Yassou Maria", written by Alex Papaconstantinou, Marcus Englöf and Markus Sepehrmanesh. The song was performed by Sarbel. To select their entry for the 2007 contest, which took place in Helsinki, Finland, Greek national television broadcaster Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) organised the national final ''Eurovision 2007'' which took place on 28 February 2007. The event saw three acts—Sarbel, Tamta and Christos Dantis—compete to be the Greek representative. Following the selection of "Yassou Maria", a music video for the song was released and Sarbel embarked on an international promotional tour for the entry to Russia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Sweden and Romania. "With Love" is a song by the Georgian-Greek singer Tamta. The song was Tamta's entry in a three-way race with Christos Dantis and Sarbel to be Greece's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. On February 28, 2007, Greece chose Sarbel's "Yassou Maria". National final Tamta chose to sing the "With Love", a ballad composed by the Eurovision veteran Nikos Terzis. Eurovision Song Contest 2019
The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, following the country's victory at the 2018 contest with the song " Toy" by Netta. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC/Kan), the contest was held at Expo Tel Aviv, and consisted of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May, and a final on 18 May 2019. Super Idol (Greek TV Series)
Super Idol was the first Greek version of the British television hit show ''Pop Idol''. It was a talent contest to find a pop performer. The first series of the show, from February 8 to June 17, 2004, was hosted by Themis Georgantas and the winner was Stavros Konstantinou. Due to low ratings Mega Channel has decided to cancel after only one season, however Georgian runner-up Tamta Goduadze achieved major success and established herself in the Greek music industry afterwards. The panel of judges for the first season of the show were Elena Katrava, Kostantis Spyropoulos and Ilias Psinakis. Auditions The show started in 2004 and auditions were held at three locations: Cyprus, Thessalonica and finally Athens. The winner, Stavros, was from Cyprus. Apostolia Zoi ( el, Αποστολία Ζώη, ) is a popular Greek singer who was born in Elassona, Greece, and she grew up in Volos. She has released four studio albums.
