Jasmine ( taxonomic name: ''Jasminum''; , ) is a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family (Oleaceae). It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia, Africa, and Oceania. Jasmines are widely cultivated for the characteristic fragrance of their flowers. Yasemin Aygün Savgı (born 4 March 1982), better known as Yasemin Mori, is a Turkish alternative rock singer. Biography As daughter of military architect father and Edirne-born mother worked as a sales chief on Turkish Airlines, her original last name was ''Savgı''. She chooses to go by the scene alias ''wikt:mori, mori'', which means ''girl'' in various ethnic Balkan Turkic dialects, and which was a name she was called by many of her friends as a young girl. Yasmeen Hanoosh
Yasmeen Hanoosh is an academic, fiction writer, and translator from Iraq. She was born in Basra in 1978. She moved to the United States in 1995, subsequently obtaining a BA, MA and PhD (in Middle Eastern Studies) from the University of Michigan. The title of her doctoral thesis, submitted in 2008, was "The Politics of Minority: Chaldeans between Iraq and America". She is currently a professor of Arabic at Portland State University. Hanoosh is the author of the Arabic short story collectioأرض الخيرات الملعونة(Land of Cursed Riches, Al-Ahliyyah 2021). Yasmeen Godder ( he, יסמין גודר; born 1973), is an Israeli choreographer and dancer. Biography Yasmeen was born and raised until the age of 14 in Jerusalem. As a child, she danced at Professor Hasia Levi-Agron's class, and ballet at Yaakov Lipshitz's in Jerusalem. Her first performance was an end-of-year dance at YMCA Jerusalem, when she was 6 years old. Yasmeen Al Maimani ( ar, ياسمين الميمني) is the first woman from Saudi Arabia to become a commercial airline pilot. She received her commercial pilot license from FAA in 2013, which she converted to Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) license and became the first Saudi Arabian commercial airline pilot in 2019. Her first official flight was on June 9, 2019 with Nesma Airlines. Initial years as pilot Yasmeen Al Maimani obtained a PPL in 2010 from RJAA, Jordan. When she submitted this license in Saudi Arabia, it was rejected owing to the country lacking such a provision.
