Tanhaiyaan
''Tanhaiyaan'' ( ur, , English: The loneliness) is a 1985 Pakistani drama serial which is now considered a cult classic. ''Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay'' telecast in 2012 is the sequel of 27-year-old serial ''Tanhaiyaan''. The drama serial was directed by the legendary Shahzad Khalil and was written by the famous drama writer Haseena Moin. Tanhaiyan featured an ensemble star cast of veterans such as Shehnaz Sheikh, Marina Khan, Asif Raza Mir, Badar Khalil, Behroze Sabzwari, Azra Sherwani, Qazi Wajid, Durdana Butt, Yasmeen Ismail, Jamshed Ansari, Amir Hatmi, Subhani Bayounus and Sultana Zafar. It is the story of two sisters who lose their parents and go to live with their aunt. One of their efforts to buy back their parents' house leads them to realise what makes a house a home. Haseena Moin
Haseena Moin (20 November 1941 – 26 March 2021) was a Pakistani dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She wrote several plays for stage, radio, and television. She was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan's first original script ''Kiran Kahani'' aired in the early-1970s. Before this, PTV relied on novel-based scripts for dramas. She was considered to be the best playwright and dramatist Pakistan has ever witnessed. ''Marina Khan'' (born 26 December 1962) is a Pakistani television and film actress, director and a producer. She was one of the most popular actresses of the 1980s and 1990s. Azra Sherwani
Azra Sherwani (1940–2005) was a Pakistani television actress with a career spanning over 35 years who played a variety of roles. Amongst her most memorable roles are Ghazi Apa in ''Uncle Urfi'', Saliha Begum in ''Aangan Terha'', Apa Begum in ''Tanhaiyaan'' and Fazeelat in ''Dhoop Kinarey''. Shahzad Khalil ( ur, ), (1944 – 23 December 1989) was a Pakistani television director and producer. Early life Shahzad Khalil began his career as a director producing music videos in 1970, and then moved to making television drama serials. Shehnaz Sheikh
Shehnaz Sheikh is a Pakistani television actress, host, and theatre director. She has appeared in the drama serials Tanhaiyaan and Ankahi, as well as the show Uncle Sargam. After her successful television career, she left the industry in the mid-1990s and has since been retired. Durdana Butt (9 May 1938 – 12 August 2021) was a Pakistani actress known for her roles in dramas '' Ruswai'', ''Intezaar'' and '' Rani''. ''Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay'' (also known as Olper's Tanhaiyaan: Naye Silsilay) is a Pakistani romantic social drama serial directed by Marina Khan aired on ARY Digital and Pakistan Television Corporation. Behroze Sabzwari ( ur, بہروز سبزواری; born 1957) is an actor from Pakistan, appearing in films, on television, and in voice acting roles alike. Subhani ba Yunus (1931–2006) was an accomplished Pakistani actor and television and radio personality whose distinct voice quality earned him a special place in Radio Pakistan. Younis was an Urdu-speaking Hyderabadi Muslim of Hadhrami Chaush descent.
