Yangon United Football Club ( my, ရန်ကုန် ယူနိုက်တက် ဘောလုံးအသင်း ) is a Burmese football club, based at Yangon United Sports Complex, in Yangon, Myanmar. Owned by Tay Za, a prominent Burmese businessman, the club was one of eight teams that participated in the inaugural edition of the Myanmar National League in 2009, where they finished as runners-up. Yangon United's biggest rivals are Yadanarbon F.C., with whom they contest the Myanmar rivalry. However, due to Yadanarbon's decline, Yangon United's main rivals are now Shan United, in which now they contest in the new MNL derby. History Although Yangon United F.C. was officially founded in 2009, it started as the Air Bagan F.C side from the old Myanmar Premier League. 2020 Myanmar National League
The 2020 Myanmar National League is the 11th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Myanmar professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2009, also known as MPT Myanmar National League due to the sponsorship deal with Myanma Posts and Telecommunications. Recently, AIA agreed a sponsorship deal with Myanmar National League in order to support both MNL and Myanmar Football. A total of 12 football teams will compete in the league. Shan United are the defending champions, while Chin United and I.S.P.E have been promoted from the 2019 MNL-2. Yan Naing Oo ( my, ရန်နိုင်ဦး; born 31 March 1996) is a Burmese footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for the Myanmar U-19 football team and Shan United. He was born in North Okkalarpa Township, Yangon Division. He also the key player of Myanmar U-20 National Football Team played in 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Win Naing Tun ( my, ဝင်းနိုင်ထွန်း; born 3 May 2000) is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Indonesian club Borneo Samarinda.
