Htet Phyo Wai
Htet Phyo Wai ( my, ထက္ၿဖိဳးေ၀; born 21 January 2000) is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as a winger. He scored his first international goal for Myanmar against Laos in 2018 AFF Championship. Htet Phyo Wai scored two more goals for Myanmar in the 2020 AFF Championship against Philippines. Shwebo
Shwebo ( my, ရွှေဘိုမြို့ ) is a city in Sagaing Region, Burma, 110 km north-west of Mandalay between the Irrawaddy and the Mu rivers. The city was the origin of the Konbaung Dynasty, established by King Alaungpaya in 1752, that was the dominant political force in Burma after the mid-18th century. It served as Alaungpaya's capital from 1752 to 1760. As of 2021, it has a population of 88,914. History Up to 1752, Shwebo was a village, called Moksobo ( my, မုဆိုးဘို ; ) of about 300 houses. It lies near the site of the ancient Pyu city-state of Hanlin. On 29 February 1752, the chief of the village Aung Zeya founded the Konbaung Dynasty to resist the upcoming invasion of Lower Burma-based Hanthawaddy forces. Aung Zeya, who also assumed the royal title of Alaungpaya, gained the allegiance of 46 surrounding villages, and organized defenses building a stockade and digging a moat around Moksobo. 2017 General Aung San Shield
The 2017 General Aung San Shield ( my, Bogyoke Aung San Shield) is the third season of Myanmar knockout football competition. The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Football Federation. It is the league cup competition started in 2017 Myanmar football season. This cup succeeded the Myanmar Football Federation Cup. MFF has changed the cup competition style as follows. In the first round, ten clubs competing in 2017 MNL-2 and two clubs which were promoted to 2017 MNL, twelve teams in total, will be involved playing at a neutral ground with six teams emerged as winners. In the second round, ten clubs competing in 2016 MNL and the six winners from the first round, sixteen teams in total, will be involved playing at a neutral ground with eight teams emerged as winners. General Aung San Shield
General Aung San Shield (formerly ''MFF Cup'') is the top football knockout tournament in Myanmar. On 26 March 2014, MFF League Committee Meeting decides the knock-out cup (General Aung San Shield) winner would compete in ''Toyota Mekong Championship'' as well as earning the ticket for the AFC Cup. (in Burmese) The tournament is currently sponsored by Military of Defence. Ayeyawady United are the most successful team after winning the tournament for the two consecutive times in 2012 and 2014. General Aung San Shield is a domestic cup of Myanmar Football Federation. 2018 Myanmar National League
The 2018 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2018 MPT Myanmar National League, is the 9th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009. The departure of the two clubs from the MNL-1 disrupted the previous season. More disruption came when Nay Pyi Taw and City Yangon withdrew from the competition towards the end of the 2017 season. At an emergency meeting of the MNL committee on September 12, Nay Pyi Taw was expelled from the league after its players complained of not having been paid since April. The expulsion came after players boycotted a game in early September. An unsuccessful coup attempt in Turkey in July last year created a crisis for City Yangon that forced its departure from the MNL. The MPT Myanmar National League ( my, မြန်မာ နေရှင်နယ် လိဂ်; abbreviated MNL) is the premier national professional football league of Myanmar. In 2009, the league replaced the Myanmar Premier League, which consisted only of 14 Yangon-based football clubs, with eight professional clubs representing different regions across the nation.
