Yakovlivka, Yasynuvata Raion
Yakovlivka ( uk, Яковлівка; russian: link=no, Яковлевка) is a village in Donetsk Raion ( district; formerly Yasynuvata Raion) in Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, at 9.9 km NNE from the centre of Donetsk city, on the right bank of the Kalmius river. The settlement was taken under control of Russian forces during the War in Donbass, that started in mid-April 2014. 30 homes were destroyed and three people killed by airstrikes in Yakovlika in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The village was captured by PMC Wagner mercenaries on December 16th, 2022. Demographics In 2001 the settlement had 971 inhabitants. Village

Points Of The Compass
The points of the compass are a set of horizontal, radially arrayed compass directions (or azimuths) used in navigation and cartography. The Wagner Group (russian: Группа Вагнера, Gruppa Vagnera), also known as PMC Wagner ( «Вагнер», ChVK «Vagner»; ), is a Russian paramilitary organization. The War in Donbas, russian: Война на Донбассе was an armed conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. The Kalmius (, russian: Кальмиус) is one of two rivers flowing through the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. The other is the Kalchik, which flows into the Kalmius. The Kalmius flows into the Sea of Azov near the Azovstal steel manufacturing complex in Mariupol. Yasynuvata Raion
Yasynuvata Raion ( uk, Ясинуватський район, ) was one of the administrative raions (a ''district'') of Donetsk Oblast, located in southeastern Ukraine. The administrative center of the district was the city of Yasynuvata, which was incorporated separately as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the districts jurisdiction. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Donetsk Oblast to eight, of which only five were controlled by the government.
