Yvonne Knudsen
Yvonne Brandtrup Knudsen-Hansen (born 7 August 1964) is a Danish sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. She won two medals in the K-1 500 m at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a silver in 1990 and a bronze 1986. Knudsen also competed in two Summer Olympics, earning her best finish of fifth in the K-1 500 m event at Seoul in 1988. 1988 Summer Olympics
The 1988 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the XXIV Olympiad () and commonly known as Seoul 1988 ( ko, 서울 1988, Seoul Cheon gubaek palsip-pal), was an international multi-sport event held from 17 September to 2 October 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. 159 nations were represented at the games by a total of 8,391 athletes (6,197 men and 2,194 women). 237 events were held and 27,221 volunteers helped to prepare the Olympics. The 1988 Seoul Olympics were the second summer Olympic Games held in Asia and the first held in South Korea. The women's K-1 500 metres event was an individual kayaking event conducted as part of the Canoeing at the 1988 Summer Olympics program.
