Yuliana Vasileva Yaneva ( bg, Юлияна Василева Янева) is a Bulgarian freestyle wrestler. She is a four-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. She also won the gold medal in her event at the 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. Career In 2019, Yaneva competed in the women's 65kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. In 2020, she won the gold medal in the women's 72kg event at the Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. In March 2021, Yaneva competed at the European Qualification Tournament hoping to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She won her first match against Buse Tosun of Turkey but then lost her next match against Koumba Larroque of France which meant that she could no longer qualify for the Olympics at this tournament. The 60th Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov Tournament, is a wrestling event held in Sofia, Bulgaria between 2 and 5 March 2023. This international tournament included competition in both men's and women's freestyle wrestling and men's Greco-Roman wrestling. This tournament was held in honor of Dan Kolov who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria and European and World Champion Nikola Petroff. The 2024 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament was the last qualifying tournament for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The event was held from 9 to 12 May 2024, in Istanbul, Turkey. 2023 World Wrestling Championships
The 2023 World Wrestling Championships was held from 16 to 24 September 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia. Koumba Larroque (born 22 August 1998) is a French freestyle wrestler. She is a four-time medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and a four-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. The 2021 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament is the second regional qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The event was held from 18 to 21 March 2021, in BOK Sports Hall, Budapest, Hungary. Qualification summary A total of 36 athletes secured a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, Japan.
