2024 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2024 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament was the last qualifying tournament for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The event was held from 9 to 12 May 2024, in Istanbul, Turkey. The tournament awarded three quota places per weight category, one for each of the two highest-ranked wrestlers and one for the winner of the match between the two bronze medalists. Peter Ladislaw Hammer (December 23, 1936, Timișoara – December 27, 2006, Princeton, New Jersey) was an American mathematician native to Romania. He contributed to the fields of operations research and applied discrete mathematics through the study of pseudo-Boolean functions and their connections to graph theory and data mining.. Biography Hammer was born in Timișoara, Romania, into a Hungarian speaking Jewish family. He did both his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Bucharest, earning a diploma in 1958 and a doctorate in 1965 under the supervision of Grigore Moisil.
