Yu Pang-lin
Yu Pengnian () (1922–2015) was a Chinese real estate magnate and philanthropist. Early life On 21 November 1922, Yu was born in Hunan province, China. Yu grew up poor. Career In 1945, Yu worked as a rickshaw driver in Shanghai, China. In the 1957, Yu started his working life in Hong Kong as a cleaner. In the 1960s, Yu was a construction worker. Yu followed his boss to Taiwan and started a property business. In 1973, Yu invested in the stock market including junk stocks and lost everything. In 1974, Yu bought the property, former home of Bruce Lee, in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. Yu converted it into a "love hotel" where rental fee was by hourly. In 2000, Yu opened Shenzhen Panglin Hotel in the Lo Wu District of Hong Kong. China Radio International (CRI) is the state-owned international radio broadcaster of China. It is currently headquartered in the Babaoshan area of Beijing's Shijingshan District. It was founded on December 3, 1941, as Radio Peking. It later adopted the pinyin form Radio Beijing. CRI states that it "endeavours to promote favourable relations between the PRC and the world" while upholding the PRC's official positions. As with other nations' external broadcasters such as Voice of America, BBC World Service and Radio Australia, CRI claims to "play a significant role in the PRC's soft power strategy" and Go Out policy, aiming to expand the influence of Chinese culture and media in a global stage. Kowloon Tong () is an area of Hong Kong located in Kowloon. The majority of the area is in the Kowloon City District. Its exaclocationis south of the Lion Rock, north of Boundary Street, east of the East Rail line and west of Grampian Road. It is one of the most expensive residential districts in Hong Kong. It is popular among Hong Kong's wealthy residents because of its schools and low-density private housing. Most of the buildings there do not exceed 10 floors.
