Yu Daqing
Yu Daqing (; born November 1957) is a lieutenant-general in the People's Liberation Army of China, who served as Deputy Political Commissar of the Second Artillery Corps. He was placed under investigation by the PLA's anti-graft agency in December 2014. Life and career Yu was born and raised in Suizhong County, Liaoning. He joined the People's Liberation Army in 1975 and the Communist Party of China in 1977. Yu served as Political Commissar of the 123 Division of the Forty-first Army from 2005 to 2006, and Deputy Head of the Cadre Department of the People's Liberation Army General Political Department between 2007 and 2009, he was promoted to the head position in December 2009. He attained the rank of major general in July 2008. Suizhong County
Suizhong County () is a county of southwestern Liaoning, People's Republic of China. It is located on the northern coast of the Bohai Sea and is the southernmost county of Huludao City (as well as non-peninsular Liaoning), bordering Hebei to the southwest. People's Liberation Army General Political Department
The People's Liberation Army General Political Department (GPD; ) was the former chief political organ under the Central Military Commission of Chinese Communist Party. It led all political activities in the People's Liberation Army. Its former director-generals include Liu Shaoqi, Luo Ronghuan, Tan Zheng, Xiao Hua, Li Desheng, Zhang Chunqiao, Wei Guoqing, Yu Qiuli, Yang Baibing, Yu Yongbo, Xu Caihou, and Li Jinai. Its last head was Zhang Yang, who committed suicide. The department was disbanded in January 2016 and a new agency, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission was founded in its place. Zhu Fuxi (; born July 2, 1955) is a general (''shang jiang'') of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). He served as the inaugural Political Commissar of the Western Theater Command, and the last Commissar of the Chengdu Military Region. Biography Zhu was born in Linhai, Zhejiang province. Yin Fanglong (; born November 1953) is a retired general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). He served as the inaugural Political Commissar of the Central Theater Command from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of the PLA General Political Department from 2012 to 2016. Major General
Major general (abbreviated MG, maj. gen. and similar) is a military rank used in many countries. It is derived from the older rank of sergeant major general. The disappearance of the "sergeant" in the title explains the apparent confusion of a lieutenant general outranking a major general, whereas a major outranks a lieutenant. In the Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth and in the United States, when appointed to a field command, a major general is typically in command of a Division (military), division consisting of around 6,000 to 25,000 troops (several regiments or brigades). Liaoning
Liaoning () is a coastal province in Northeast China that is the smallest, southernmost, and most populous province in the region. With its capital at Shenyang, it is located on the northern shore of the Yellow Sea, and is the northernmost coastal province of the People's Republic of China. Historically a gateway between China proper and Manchuria, the modern Liaoning province was established in 1907 as Fengtian or Fengtien province and was renamed Liaoning in 1929.
