Young Yatri Organization
Young Yatri Organization is a not-for-profit youth organization, operating in Nepal. The institution was established in November 2009, by seven high school students aiming for the growth and development of youths of Nepal. Aims YYO aims to provide a platform and knowledge to the youth so that they can realize their capabilities and responsibilities. YYO believes that, when empowered, the youth will develop the sense humanity, patriotism and rationality that is needed for the enhancement and well-functioning of the society. How YYO works YYO chose its medium to be theater, more specifically Forum Theatre. After its first two events, YYO realized that to successfully affect the youth it has to approach it through ways other than theater too. Hence, YYO extended itself to incorporate Event Creation and Management under its working methods. Forum Theatre
Forum theatre is a type of theatre created by Brazilian theatre director Augusto Boal. It is one of the techniques under the umbrella term of Theatre of the Oppressed (TO). This relates to the engagement of spectators influencing and engaging with the performance as both spectators and actors, termed "spect-actors", with the power to stop and change the performance. As part of TO, the issues dealt with in forum theatre are often related to areas of social justice, with the aim of exploring solutions to oppression featured in the performance. Paath
Paath or Path ( Punjabi: ਪਾਠ ), from the Sanskrit patha which means reading or recitation, is, in the religious context, reading or recitation of the holy texts. In Sikhism, comprehension of what is being read is considered more important than ritual recitation Guru Granth Sahib. Background Paath is the recitation of Gurbani. However it is considered lower than gurbani vichar/discussion. It can also be called prayers of some instances. It may be done individually or in a group; it can be the recitation of one’s Banis or any part of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, alone or with others listening or reciting along. School Bullying
School bullying, like bullying outside the school context, refers to one or more perpetrators who have greater physical strength or more social power than their victim repeatedly by acting aggressively toward their victim. Bikram Samwat
Vikram Samvat (IAST: ''Vikrama Samvat''; abbreviated VS) or Bikram Sambat B.S. and also known as the Vikrami calendar, is a Hindu calendar historically used in the Indian subcontinent. Panchayat (Nepal)
Panchayat ( ne, पञ्चायत) was a partyless political system incepted by King Mahendra by sidelining the Nepali Congress government of B. P. Koirala on 15 December 1960 AD (1st Poush 2017 BS). He introduced the partyless Panchayat system on 5 January 1961 AD (22nd Poush 2017 BS). Under his direct rule King Mahendra introduced the four tiered structure—village, town, district and national Panchayat—on the basis of limited elected executive committee. Mahendra consolidated power by institutionalizing and invoking the three pillars of national identity—Hindu religion, Nepali language and Monarchy—as a foundation of everyday social and religious life.
