Young Punch
was a Japanese band formed in 1996. In March 2000, Young Punch and Penpals released their split album, "Young Punch/Penpals", and in April–May went on tour together. In August of that year, while still with BMG Funhouse, Young Punch founded a new label, FLATURBO. They made their major debut in November with the single "SUNDAY BEST". The band split up in 2002. Libra Records was a record label that well known Singaporean acts released their recordings on. One of its most well-known acts was the Western Union Band. The group had two no. 1 records on the label. Other acts to have their recordings released on the label were Kelsom, Glass Onion and The Sandboys. Background The Sandboys were the first group to have a single released on the label with "Candle Light" bw "Turn Around". The band contained Hillary Francis was the lead singer and drummer. The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart. In November 2018, Oricon launched a streaming chart, and introduced a combined singles chart that utilizes physical single sales, downloads, and streams. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. Every Monday, Oricon receives data from outlets, but data on merchandise sold through certain channels does not make it into the charts. TX Network (TXN) is a commercial television network in Japan owned by Nikkei, Inc. The "TX" is taken from the callsign of its flagship station, TV Tokyo. It is also known as TV Tokyo Network.
