Ninnian Joseph Yule (30 April 1892 – 30 March 1950) was a Scottish-American burlesque and vaudeville actor who later appeared in many films as a character actor. He starred alongside Renie Riano in the '' Jiggs and Maggie'' film series. Yule was the father of actor Mickey Rooney. Biography Ninnian Joseph Yule was born in the Hutchesontown district of Glasgow on 30 April 1892, the son of Elizabeth (née McKell; 1866–1919) and boiler maker Ninnian Yule (1866–1943). Thomas Yule (4 February 1888 – ?) was a Scottish footballer who played on the left-wing for Lincoln City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Port Vale in the 1910s. Career Yule played for Portobello before moving down to England to play for Lincoln City of the Second Division. He moved on to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1911. Wolves finished fifth in the Second Division in 1911–12 and then tenth in 1912–13. In his two seasons at Molineux, Yule made 33 appearances, scoring seven goals. Thomas ("Tommy") Litster Yule (born 15 March 1976) is a male former weightlifter. Weightlifting career Born in South Africa, he represented Great Britain at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He represented England and won three silver medals in the 105 kg category, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Stephen Youll (born 8 June 1965 in Hartlepool) is a British science fiction artist. He got his start in the genre when his work, done in conjunction with his twin brother Paul, was seen in 1987 at the 45th World Science Fiction Convention in Brighton, England. His first commission, a collaboration with Paul, was for the cover painting for ''Emerald Eyes'' by Daniel Keys Moran that was published by Bantam Books. The brothers continued to work together until Stephen moved to the United States. Painting originally in acrylics, he switched to oils and has produced pieces for such clients as Bantam, Ballantine/ Del Rey, Warner and Avon. Michael Youll (born 26 April 1939) is a former English cricketer, a left-handed batsman who bowled left-arm unorthodox spin. He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland. Youll made his first-class debut for Warwickshire against Scotland in 1956. He made three further appearances for Warwickshire, the last of them against Combined Services in 1957. In his four first-class matches, he took 14 wickets at an average of 21.57, with a single five wicket haul in his debut match in 1956: 5 for 99 in the first innings. In 1957, at the age of 18, he was the leading wicket-taker in the Minor Counties Championship, with 62 wickets at an average of 16.41.
