Yoshiki Takei
is a Japanese professional boxer and former kickboxer, who has held the OPBF super bantamweight title since August 2022. As a professional kickboxer, he held the K-1 Super Bantamweight Championship from 2017 until 2020, and was the 2017 and 2019 K-1 Super Bantamweight Grand Prix winner. At the time of his retirement from the sport of kickboxing, in December 2020, Takei was ranked as the best fighter at 55 kg and the eight best pound for pound fighter in the world. Kickboxing career Early career Career beginnings Takei made his professional debut against Tasuku at Krush.47 on November 9, 2014. He won the fight by a first-round knockout, stopping Tasuku with strikes to the body at the 2:33 minute mark of the opening round. Krush (kickboxing)
Krush is a martial arts entertainment planning and promotion brand established in 2008, currently based in Japan. It is the sister brand of K-1, and has produced numerous future K-1 competitors, such as Takeru Segawa, Tatsuya Tsubakihara and Yuki Egawa. It features events across ten male and three female weight classes. Current Krush champions History Krush was launched in 2008, prior to the death of K-1 FEG, as a collaboration between K-1 and All Japan Kickboxing Federation. It was launched as a feeder organization to K-1, and was accordingly seen as the second tier of K-1 competition. K-1 is a professional kickboxing promotion established in 1993, well known worldwide mainly for its heavyweight division fights and Grand Prix tournaments. In January 2012, K-1 Global Holdings Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, acquired the rights to K-1, and is the current organizer of K-1 events worldwide. Extreme Fight Game RISE, known simply as RISE, is a Japanese kickboxing promotion company based in Tokyo, Japan. The name RISE is an abbreviation of "Real Impact Sports Entertainment". It produces events in Japan, which showcases ten male and three female weight classes. They also hold the KAMINARIMON events, which are exclusively open to amateur fighters. Champions History RISE held their inaugural event, "R.I.S.E. I" on February 23, 2003, at the Gold Jim South Tokyo Annex in Ōmori, Japan. They held their first "Dead or Alive" tournament on December 23, 2003, which would later become an annual RISE event at the end of the year. Before the collapse of K-1 FEG, winners of the "Dead or Alive" tournaments earned a berth in the K-1 MAX Japan tournaments. Kenji Kubo
Kenji Kubo (born 4 April 1989), also known simply as KENJI, is a Japanese kickboxer and former professional boxer. He is the 2017 K-1 Super Bantamweight Grand Prix finalist, the 2011 RISE Bantamweight champion and the 2007 NJKF Flyweight champion. Kickboxing career K-1 Kubo returned to K-1 in 2017, and was immediately scheduled to take part in the 2017 K-1 Super Bantamweight Grand Prix. It was his first kickboxing bout in nearly five years. Kubo beat Suen Tak Chuen by an extra round unanimous decision in the quarterfinals, and Nobuchika Terado by a second-round knockout in the semifinals. Kubo fought Yoshiki Takei in the finals, and lost the fight by unanimous decision.
