Yorgunum Anla
Turkey took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000. The country was represented by Pınar Ayhan and Grup S.O.S. with the song "Yorgunum Anla" written by Pınar Ayhan herself together with Sühan Ayhan and Orkun Yazgan. The entry was chosen by a professional jury. Although the song was originally in Turkish, during the contest it was sung partially in English. Before Eurovision 23. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması Türkiye Finali The final took place on 18 February 2000 at the Ari TV Studios in Ankara, hosted by Yasemin Pamukçu and Ömer Önder. Ten songs competed and the winner was determined by an expert jury. At Eurovision On the night of the contest Pınar Ayhan and Grup S.O.S. performed 22nd in the running order following Latvia and preceding Ireland. At the close of the voting "Yorgunum Anla" had received 59 points, placing Turkey 10th out of 24 competing countries. Pınar Ayhan
Pınar Ayhan (née Karakoç; born 28 March 1972) is a Turkish singer, most notable for participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000. Music career Eurovision Ayhan first participated in the Turkish national finals in 1996, in a duet with Tüzmen with the song ''Var mısın söyle'', and came in second. The second time was in 1997, with the song ''Sen nerede Ben orada'', which did not receive a rank. Orkun Yazgan
Orkun Yazgan (born 1970) is a Turkish TV presenter and musician. Yazgan completed his education at the Galatasaray High School and graduated from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He started his career as a presenter in NTV's news section, and later transferred to ATV. He later presented the morning program ''Yeni Gün'' on CNN Türk together with Ece Üner. In 2009, he started working as the media coordinator for Fenerbahçe and presented the program ''Samandıra Saati'' on Radio Fenerbahçe. The Eurovision Song Contest 2000 was the 45th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Stockholm, Sweden, following the country's victory at the with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven" by Charlotte Nilsson. Işın Funda Büyükkaraca (born 7 March 1973), better known as Işın Karaca (), is a British-born Turkish Cypriot pop singer. Personal life Işın Funda Büyükkaraca was born into a Turkish Cypriot family which had emigrated to the United Kingdom. Can Atilla (born 1969 in Ankara), is a Turkish musician and composer of electronic, ethnic, orchestral and new age music. Graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in 1990 with a BA degree in violin, he has composed several studio albums as well as numerous scores for films, plays and television series.
