Yorcard
Yorcard was an electronic smart card ticketing programme in Yorkshire. It grew from the pilot of the same name completed in 2009. Yorcard Limited was a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Its two guarantors were the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and West Yorkshire Metro Metro is the passenger information brand used by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority in England. South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive
The South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive is the passenger transport executive for South Yorkshire in England. It is supervised by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, which consists of representatives from the metropolitan boroughs of Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, and Barnsley. The Oyster card is a payment method for public transport in London (and certain areas around it) in England, United Kingdom. A standard Oyster card is a blue credit-card-sized stored-value contactless smart card.
