Yonsei University (; ) is a private research university in Seoul, South Korea. SKY (universities)
SKY is an acronym used to refer to the three most prestigious universities in South Korea: Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University. The term is widely used in South Korea, both in media and by the universities themselves. In South Korea, admission to one of the SKY universities is widely considered as determining one's career and social status. Park Sang-ki
Park Sang-ki (Korean: 박상기, born 1952) is South Korean educator, jurist, prosecutor and politician who served as the Minister of Justice under Moon Jae-in Cabinet from May 2017 to September 2019. Born in Muan, Park attended for University of Göttingen. He used to be a both lecturer and professor at Yonsei University. He is also a member of Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ) and used to be one of its Co-Presidents from February to June 2017. He was also the ex-Director of Dongduk Women's University from 2004 to 2007. Park formerly worked at Supreme Prosecutors' Office from 1998 to 2005, and also at Ministry of Justice from 2004 to 2011. Law Schools In South Korea
Traditionally, Korean legal education followed the German and Japanese models. Recent reforms are shifting professional education from an undergraduate LL.B. to a postgraduate J.D. type of education. In addition, many Korean universities continue to offer legal education in academic and scholastic frameworks, offering graduate degrees, including Ph.D.s in Law. Further, several universities focus on legal systems outside of Korea, such as on Common Law.
