Ykiki Beat
Ykiki Beat was a five-piece indie pop band from Tokyo, Japan. In January, 2017, they announced they had been on hiatus from December, 2016 and that they would disband. They also announced that each member would continue to make music their own way. Three members of the band, Akiyama, Kachi, and Kamoto, are currently members of four-piece indie rock band DYGL DYGL are a four-piece indie rock band from Tokyo, Japan. The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart. In November 2018, Oricon launched a streaming chart, and introduced a combined singles chart that utilizes physical single sales, downloads, and streams. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music.
