Yang Deqing
Yang Deqing (; born September 1942) is a retired general in the People's Liberation Army of China. He was a member of the 16th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress. Biography Yang was born in Yingcheng County (now Yingcheng), Hubei, in September 1942. He enlisted in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in December 1963, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in October 1964. From February 1974 to March 1977, he was a secretary of the Secretariat of the Political Department of Wuhan Military District. Then he was assigned to the People's Liberation Army Ground Force. In August 1985, he was promoted to become director of the Political Department of the 42nd Group Army, a position he held until October 1989, when he was appointed director of the Political Department of PLA Academy of Military Economics. Chengzhong Subdistrict () is a subdistrict and the seat of the city of Yingcheng, Hubei province, People's Republic of China. Yingcheng is from Wuhan, via China National Highway 107. Yu Linxiang
Yu Linxiang (; born January 1945) is a retired general ('' shangjiang'') who served as political commissar of the People's Armed Police of China. Biography Yu was born in 1945 in Yingcheng, Hubei in January 1945, and joined the Chinese Communist Party in April 1966. Yu attained the rank of general on June 24, 2006. He has served in a number of roles since joining the Party. Yu was first appointed to be the deputy director of the 1st Army, and then the political commissar of the 2nd legion. He has held simultaneous posts as the political commissar of the first division of the Beijing city PAP and the deputy director of the political bureau of the PAP. He next served as the head of the Ministry of Organization under the divisional People's Liberation Army political ministry. Xiaogan
Xiaogan () is a prefecture-level city in east-central Hubei province, People's Republic of China, some northwest of the provincial capital of Wuhan. According to the 2020 census, its population totaled 4,270,371, of whom 988,479 lived in the built-up (''or metro'') area of Xiaonan District. The city name Xiaogan, meaning ''Filial Piety Moves Tian'' (), is from the story of Dong Yong (), who sold himself for his father's funeral, in ''The Twenty-four Filial Exemplars''. The Sheshui River originates in Xiaogan's Dawu County.
