Yevheniya Dembska
Yevheniya Mykhaylivna Dembska ( uk, Євге́нія Миха́йлівна Де́мбська, Yevheniia Mykhailivna Dembska; 28 November 1920 – 29 June 2019) was a Ukrainian theatre and cinema actress. Personal life and death Yevheniya Mykhaylivna Dembska was born in Kyiv to a musical family with three daughters - Yevheniya (also transcribed as Yevgeniya or Eugenia) and her two sisters, Valentina and Neonila. At the age of three, she lost her father. Her first husband, pianist Alexander Katz, was called up to the Red Army in 1939 and died in the liberation of Kyiv. She graduated from the Kyiv Musical College (1939), she studied at the Kyiv Conservatory (1939-1941). Since 1940 - soloist of the Kyiv theater of small forms. She got into occupation during the Great Patriotic War. In the theater "Klein Kunst Theater" she performed in 1945. ''Eugenia'' is a genus of flowering plants in the myrtle family Myrtaceae. It has a worldwide, although highly uneven, distribution in tropical and subtropical regions. The bulk of the approximately 1,100 species occur in the New World tropics, especially in the northern Andes, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Forest (coastal forests) of eastern Brazil. Other centers of diversity include New Caledonia and Madagascar. Many of the species that occur in the Old World have received a new classification into the genus '' Syzygium''. People's Artist of Ukraine is an honorary and the highest title awarding to outstanding performing artists whose merits are exceptional in the sphere of the development of the performing arts (theatre, music, dance, circus, cinema, etc.). Established in 1922 during Soviet times, it was technically called People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (Народний артист УРСР). With the establishment of independent Ukraine, this tradition was kept and the title was renamed as People's Artist of Ukraine (Народний артист України). The Order of Princess Olga ( uk, Орден княгині Ольги) is a Ukrainian civil decoration, featuring Olga of Kiev and bestowed to women for "personal merits in state, production, scientific, educational, cultural, charity and other spheres of social activities, for upbringing children in families". It was established by Presidential Decree № 827/97 of 15 August 1997 and has three grades (classes), the first being the highest. The 1st grade medal is adorned with four rectangular amethysts and features a gilded ornament with silver parts. The two other grades also feature precious stones.
