Yenbek Almaty
Yenbek Almaty (russian: Хоккейный клуб Енбек Алматы, kk, Еңбек Алматы хоккей клубы, ''Eńbek Almaty hokkeı klýby'') was a Soviet and Kazakh ice hockey team in Almaty, Kazakhstan. They were active from 1965 to 1985 and from 1999 to 2009. History The club was founded in 1965 as Avtomobilist Alma-Ata () and played at first in the Soviet Hockey League Class B, the third level of Soviet ice hockey. Two years later, they promoted to Class A2. In 1972, club renamed to Yenbek Alma-Ata (''Yenbek'' means ''Labour'' in Kazakh language). In 1970, Yenbek Alma-Ata achieved a semifinal of Soviet Hockey Cup, where lost to Khimik Voskresensk. Yenbek played six seasons in Class A2 before they collapse in 1975. In 1981, Yenbek was recreated. Yuri Baulin has hired as a new head coach. The team consisted of former Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk players. The Baluan Sholak Sports Palace ( kk, Балуан Шолақ атындағы спорт сарайы, translit=Balýan Sholaq atyndaǵy sport saraıy) or Bolyan Sholak Sports Palace is a Palace of Sports in Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan. The Soviet Hockey Championship (russian: Чемпионат СССР по хоккею) was the highest level ice hockey league in the Soviet Union, running from 1946 to 1992. Before the 1940s the game of ice hockey was not cultivated in Russia, instead the more popular form of hockey was bandy. Following the dissolution of the USSR, the league was temporarily renamed the CIS Championship in 1992. The Kazakh or simply Qazaq (Latin: or , Cyrillic: or , Arabic Script: or , , ) is a Turkic language of the Kipchak branch spoken in Central Asia by Kazakhs. It is closely related to Nogai, Kyrgyz and Karakalpak. Hockey Club Atlant Moscow Oblast (russian: ХК Атлант Московская область, en, Atlas Hockey Club Moscow Region) was a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Mytishchi, Moscow Oblast. They were members of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League in the 2014–15 season, but have not been active since the 2015–16 season due to financial issues. Yuri Baulin
Yuri Nikolaevich Baulin (russian: Юрий Николаевич Баулин; October 5, 1933 – December 5, 2006) (also spelled: Yury) was an ice hockey player who played for the Soviet national team. He won a bronze medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics. Biography Yuri Baulin began to play hockey in 1952 with Spartak Moscow, but in 1953 joined CSKA Moscow, playing there until 1962. He then played with SKA Leningrad (1962–64) and ended his playing career in 1964-65 with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk. Baulin won Soviet titles six times (1955, 1956 and 1958–61). Internationally, besides his Olympic bronze, Baulin won silver (1959) and bronze (1960) at the World Championships and was European Champion in 1959 and 1960. After his playing career ended, Baulin worked as a hockey coach. At first he was the head coach of Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, then worked as a coach with Spartak Moscow in 1971-72, winning a bronze medal at the 1972 Soviet Championships.
