Yemeni Government
The Cabinet of Yemen refers to the governing body of the internationally recognized Yemen government led by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi who replaced former President of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi on 7 April 2022 as the new President of Yemen. He then selected new cabinet members of the Yemeni Government. As part of the 2015 Yemeni Civil War, the cabinet authority is contested by the Houthis, who took over the capital Sanaa in an armed rebellion against the government and formed the Supreme Revolutionary Committee and Supreme Political Council in 2015. President Hadi then declared Aden as the temporary capital. The United Nation Security Council resolutio2201deplored the unilateral action of the Houthis while resolutio2216reaffirmed the legitimacy of Hadi as the president of Yemen. Flag Of Yemen
The flag of Yemen ( ''Alam al-Yaman'') was adopted on May 22, 1990, the day that North Yemen and South Yemen were unified. The flag is essentially the Arab Liberation Flag of 1952, introduced after the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 in which Arab nationalism was a dominant theme. The Arab Liberation Flag of 1952 served as the inspiration for the flags of both North and South Yemen prior to unification, as well as for the current flags of Egypt, Iraq, Sudan, Palestine and Syria. According to the official description, the red stands for unity and the bloodshed of martyrs, the white for a bright future, and the black for the supposed dark past. The flag is graphically identical to the flag of the Libyan Arab Republic from 1969 to 1972. The Yemeni Ministry of Interior (MOI) (وزارة الداخلية اليمنية) is a government body that is responsible for internal security and Law enforcement in Yemen. Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daeri (born 1965) is a Yemeni military officer and the minister of defense; he was appointed to this position on 28 July 2022 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant general. Nayef Al-Bakri
Nayef al-Bakri ( ar, نايف صالح البكري; born 29 May 1975) is a Yemeni politician who serves as minister of youth and sports in the cabinet of Prime Minister Khaled Bahah. He was appointed in mid-September 2015, succeeding Rafat Al Akhali. Bakri served briefly as Governor of Aden in 2015. He previously acted as deputy to Governor Abdel-Aziz bin Habtour. After bin Habtour fled Aden amid intense fighting between pro-Houthi fighters and government loyalists, Bakri became the head of the local Resistance Council. He was appointed governor in July. During his brief tenure as governor, Bakri was considered controversial, but he was very popular with anti-Houthi fighters who defended the city during its months-long assault. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak is a Yemeni politician who is the current Foreign Minister of Yemen. He was previously the Ambassador of Yemen to the United States.
