Meredith Yeager
Stella Meredith Yeager is an American geneticist who specializes in cancer genomics. She was the scientific director of the cancer genomics research laboratory at the National Cancer Institute. Yeager is an assistant professor of biology at Hood College. Life Yeager completed a B.S. at Radford University. She earned an M.S. at Hood College. She completed a Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University. Her 1998 dissertation was titled, ''Peptide binding function and MHC evolution''. William "Bill" Yeager (born June 16, 1940, San Francisco) is an American engineer. He is best known for being the inventor of a packet-switched, "Ships in the Night," multiple- protocol router in 1981, during his 20-year tenure at Stanford's Knowledge Systems Laboratory as well as the Stanford University Computer Science department. The code routed Parc Universal Packet (PUP), XNS, IP and CHAOSNet. The router used Bill's Network Operating System (NOS). The NOS also supported the EtherTIPS that were used throughout the Stanford LAN for terminal access to both the LAN and the Internet. Stephen Wayne Yeager (born November 24, 1948) is an American former professional baseball catcher. Yeager spent 14 of the 15 seasons of his Major League Baseball career, from 1972 through 1985, with the Los Angeles Dodgers. His last year, 1986, he played for the Seattle Mariners.
