Ali Nihat Yazıcı (born 1964) is the head of Turkish Chess Federation. After graduating from Istanbul Technical University as an electronics and communication engineer in 1987, Yazıcı worked for the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) as an engineer. Hayati Yazıcı (b. 23 May 1952, Çayeli, Rize) is a Turkish lawyer and politician. He served as Turkey's Minister of Customs and Trade. Serap Yazıcı (born 1963 in Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish academic of Constitutional Law. She was a member of a committee tasked with drafting a proposal for the new constitution of Turkey. Early years At the age of thirteen, she lost her eyesight in a car accident with her family, at which her mother was killed. She was educated in the Faculty of Law at Ankara University, and graduated earning a bachelor's degree in 1984. In 1995, Yazıcı completed her postgraduate studies at the same university, and obtained the title Doctor of law. Tahsin Yazıcı () (1892 in Monastir – February 11, 1971 in Ankara) was an Ottoman Army officer and later a Turkish Army general and politician. Biography He was born to his father Ali Bey and his mother Ganimet Hanım in Monastir, Ottoman Empire (present-day Bitola, North Macedonia) in 1892. He was recorded in Kefçedede wards, Üsküdar District of Istanbul Province. He entered the Ottoman Military Academy in Istanbul, Turkey on November 1, 1909, and graduated from the academy as second lieutenant on March 1, 1912. After graduation, he served during the First World War in Gallipoli and he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on March 1, 1916.
